Short Implants

When the Bicon system was first introduced in 1985, its 8.0mmlength implants were consideredshort — most other implants were at least 12–14mm and sometimes18–20mm long! Since then, the natural progression of Bicon’sdesign philosophy has resulted in 5.0mm, 5.7mm, and 6.0mm shortimplants, all with proven clinicalsuccesssince 1977.

  • Bicon’s 1.5˚ locking taper provides a proven bacterial seal at the implant to abutment interface, virtually eliminatinga micro gap - less than 0.5 microns.It also allows for 360˚ of universal abutment positioning.
